Michelle D. (Henjum) Grant, age 52, of Fargo, died Thursday March 23, 2017 at Essentia Health.
Michelle (Henjum) was born in Fargo, May 4, 1964 to Andrew and Esther (Noe) Henjum. She was united in marriage to Jay Grant on June 16, 1984 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Fargo.
Michelle was a senior accounting specialist at NDSU for over 10 years. She loved spending time in her back yard with her flowers in her garden. She enjoyed cleaning, decorating, watching movies, facebook games, talking on the phone for hours, backyard gatherings, her beloved dogs: Lincoln, Oliver, and Sammy; but most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Michelle was the caregiver of her family and friends.
Michelle is survived by her husband, Jay; son, Nicholas; siblings: Arthur (Jody) Henjum; Pamela Belling; Wayne (Kathy) Henjum; Greg Henjum; and many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Norma Grant; brothers-in-law: Barry (Karla) Grant; Allen (Kathy) Grant; Gordon (Kathy) Grant; sisters-in-law: Renee (Bob) Fischer; Denise (Brad) Henschel; and brother-in-law, Curtis (Julie) Grant.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Esther Henjum; and her father-in-law, Allen J. Grant.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 2:00 PM with a visitation 1 hour prior to services at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center Fargo.

To Jay and Nick, on behalf of the Fischers ( Rick, Lolita, Bob, Ilah ), we offer our deepest and sincere condolences on the sudden loss of Michelle. Our families have been joined together for a very long time. We can not begin to know what you both are going thru, but, you are in our thoughts and prayers during this unexpected event. Jay, I was so sad to hear of Michelle’s passing. Michelle was a great gal and I will always remember her bright beautiful smile. You and your family have been a constant in my thoughts and prayers since yesterday. Hugs to you.

I just heard of Michelle’s passing! She was my next door neighbor and best friends from Age 3 throughout our teens!! Oh the fun we used to have ice skating or roller skating. I am very saddened to hear this. Her family and friends are in my heart and prayers!
I grew up with Michelle too and very sad to hear. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Michelle! She almost always had a big smile for me when I came down to the office when I worked at NDSU. She was always helpful. Take care. I have thought about her from time to time since leaving NDSU.

Michelle was my very first friend at Lewis and Clark in Kindergarten and throughout high school. I will always remember her sweet smile and lovely blonde hair! So sorry to hear about her passing. All my thoughts for your family as you mourn her passing.
