Angela R. Cossette, 90, Horace, ND passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Eventide, Fargo.
Angela was born September 22, 1927 in Belfield, North Dakota to George and Antonia (Brunette) Dorval. She moved to Horace, North Dakota at the age of 3 where she was raised by her aunt, Annie Brunette and attended country school at St. Benedict’s Convent. She married Robert Cossette on July 9, 1945 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Wild Rice. They made their home on the farmstead in Horace, ND. Robert passed away on April 26, 1996.
She enjoyed spending time in her garden, tending to many types of flowers. She helped on the family farm where she worked alongside her husband, Robert. She took care of her family and canned a lot of food from her garden.
She is survived by her children; Donald (Laureen) Cossette, Hickson, ND, Marjorie Cossette, Horace, ND, Larry Cossette, Fargo, ND, Debbie Brakke, Mapleton, ND and Carol (Del) Symanietz, Bismarck, ND; grandchildren, Kerri (Jeff) Richards, Tawney Town, MD, Kristi (Chad) Clemetson, Grand Forks, ND, Andrea (Vince) Stroh, Grand Forks, ND, Alicia (Kris) Nelson, Casselton, ND, Melissa (Chad) Yde, Sioux Falls, SD, Heather Brakke, Mapleton, ND, Kevin Cossette, Horace, ND, Jennifer Cossette, Fargo, ND, Amy Symanietz, Bismarck, ND and Alex Symanietz, Fort Collins, CO; great-grandchildren, Connor, Blake, Claire, Brittany, Addison, Hudson, Chase, Kendall, Grady, Isabella, Alyse, Brooklyn and Ava; sisters-in-law, Janet Gehrig, Kindred, ND, Pauline Dorval, Belfield, ND, Dorothy Dorval and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Clarence Dorval, Wilmer Dorval, Art Dorval, Joseph Dorval and Lorraine Burwick.
Prayer Service: 5:00 P.M. Sunday, November 19, 2017 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Wild Rice with visitation starting at 3:00 P.M.
Funeral Mass: 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 20, 2017 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Wild Rice, ND.

Grandma oh how you will be so very missed. Your feisty French attitude is one we always chuckled about and loved listening to. I will always remember how hard you worked and all the big family Christmas’s we had at the farm. I always looked forward to that because we were all together as a family. I will see you again one day my dear Grandma and until then give Grandpa a big hug for me and have him hug you for me too. I love you so much.
RIP dear Angela. I will always remember you and how hard you worked. You were a great woman. You made so many things special. Good memories.
My dear grandma you will be missed by many. I will never forget the little bit of French you taught me and oh how you would laugh when I tried to say it after you. I can still see that twinkle in your eye. Until we meet again in Heaven grandma, love you.
