Barbara Skinner

Barbara N. Skinner, 45, of Moorhead, MN passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.  She was born on October 24, 1967 in Lake City, FL to James and Violet Skinner.  She grew up in Florida before moving to Marshall, MN where she graduated from high school.  From the time she was a teenager, Barbara worked as a cook at many restaurants throughout the country.  Barbara was an avid collector of Mickey Mouse, Coca-Cola, and dolphin memorabilia.  She was a very outgoing person and in her youth, loved to travel, especially North and South Carolina.  Barbara loved going to Myrtle Beach with her many friends. She had a magnetic personality that will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her sister, Joyce A. Skinner; her nana, Beth Smith; her nephews, James (Michelle) Brown, Jule Dempsey, Stevie (Meghan) Jones; great-nephews, Nathan, Dakota, and Steve Bear; great-nieces, Amanda and Ashley; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Gary; and her godmother, Jewell.
