  1. Heaven has certainly gained another angel with Carol leaving this earth. Carol was such a sweet, loving and giving soul. Proud to call her my aunt and friend.

Thanks for also being such a wonderful companion to Marty. As you’ve always told me, you two were “connected at the heart.” Two souls so fortunate to have found each other and experienced life long love & caring for each other. Truly blessed.

RIP Carol….you’ll be greatly missed by all who had the privilege/honor of knowing you.

  2. I love and miss you so much auntie. I’m so happy you had uncle Marty and I’m so happy I was blessed to know you. I love you and miss you. Rest In Peace with my mom, grandma and great grandma.

  3. Rest In Peace Auntie!!! You fought to the end!! Now your journey here on earth is complete. Love and miss you!!! As you have left this earth it is still Carol and Marty as death can not separate you two after 61 years of being together!!!

  4. Sorry to hear of Carol’s passing. She will be greatly missed. I enjoyed working with her at Concordia.

  5. Dear Marty and family,
My very deepest sympathy to all. I only knew Carol from all our class reunions for Class of ’57.
She was a sweet lady and helped so much with all those reunions.
She now rests in her heavenly place among the angels.
Hold tight to all those many memories you’ve shared with her, Marty…it helps to heal the hole left in your heart.
    Know that I care….

  6. Marty,
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Carol. She was truly your life partner. You two were so good together-almost inseparable. We have been through so much of our lives together starting at Bethesda Lutheran Church. I feel assured that God’s peace will get you through this.

  7. Marty, many years have passed since our last encounter! I have never seen a more beautiful, or meaningful, tribute to a loved one. How blessed you both were to have had each other! I pray your grief is short and you rejoice in fond memories. Enjoy life as Carol would want you to do.

  8. So sorry to hear of the loss of Carol. My thought and prayers are with during this very sad time.

  9. Marty, what sadness I feel today after learning about Carol. The gifts the two you gave to all of us in the education department at Concordia with your spirit, your thoroughness of work and your constant friendship. Bill and I think of you both often. She is now with our Lord and Savior. Blessed be your memories and blessed be the joy you shared In life so well together.

  10. Marty and family, I’m so very sorry to hear. Carol was such a sweet and kind person to me and supported me especially when I was Concordia.
It must be so hard. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  11. Aunt Carol,I remember you had a good sense of humor & cute giggle! What a blessing that Aunt Carol & Uncle Marty found each other & a love for life! You will be missed!

  12. Auntie I will miss you. I think about your laugh every day and I will hear it again. Take care and we will make sure Uncle Marty does not get too board, with all of us calling him he might have to tell us to stop.
Now go be with Mom and Grandma.
    Love you

She modeled all the values that Concordia instills in students. Thank you for all those years of dedicated service, Carol.

  16. You have our sympathy for the loss of Carol. We saw that Carol was your best friend in life. Remembering all the laugher and joy in conversations that we heard. Marty would start the story and Carol would add to it and you made us family by sharing those parts of your life.
