Derald Hiltwein, 77, passed away January 13, 2021 at Bethany on University, Fargo.

Derald was born February 19, 1943 to John and Irene (Muhle) Hiltwein. His favorite era was the 50’s
Derald worked for his father “John” for about 30 years. He worked very hard and at time he had differences with his father but stayed with him on the jobs. Their work was construction “home improvement” basement repair, breaking up concrete, putting in irons, different types of porch work and shingling. When his father retired, Derald did jobs with his younger brother Dale besides some small jobs on his own. Derald enjoyed going for coffee with his brothers Ron and Dale as well as playing card. He love strumming on his guitar! He met Willa Austin in 1972 where she was serving in a small cafe in Fargo. They later got married in October of 1974.
