Don "Mick" McDonald
Don “Mick” C. McDonald, 79, Fargo, ND passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Elim Care Center. He was born on January 6, 1938 to Howard and Vivian (Payne) McDonald in Argusville, ND. He grew up in Gardner where he graduated high school in 1956. Following graduation, he worked at Roadway Truck Lines in Fargo.
On November 22, 1959 Mick was united in marriage to Carol Thurlow in Sisseton, SD. The couple made their home in Fargo where they raised their children. Mick and Carol bought Farmer’s Bar in Mooreton, ND in 1973 and ran it until 1978. Mick then returned to Roadway Truck Lines until his retirement.
Upon retirement, Mick and Carol enjoyed their summers at Star Lake. He loved the outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing or spending time on his pontoon.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol; sons, Kevin (Phyllis) and Kermit McDonald; brother, Bob McDonald; grandchildren, Kyle (Heather) McDonald, Dillon (Courtney) McDonald, and S. Leleah (Geoff) Miser; and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kirk and Hal McDonald; grandson, Skyler McDonald.
There will be a memorial service at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo with a visitation one hour prior.

So sorry for the loss of Don. I always loved when he and Carol would come to visit Kevin and Phyllis. He had a great sense of humor and love for family. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace.
