Eva Brummond, age 77, Fargo, died Sunday, May 15, 2005, in Elim Care Center, Fargo. Eva Yarlett was born March 3, 1928, in French Rubert, British Columbia, Canada, the daughter of William and Alice (Pernell) Yarlett. She grew up in Eau Claire, WI, and graduated from high school there. She then moved to St. Paul, MN, where she met and married her husband, Leroy Brummond, in 1946. The couple lived on a farm in Denbigh, ND, and farmed there until Leroy?s death in 1973. While on the farm, Eva worked as an aide at Minot Trinity Hospital and as a private caretaker for the Eckart family in Martin, ND. Eva moved to Harvey and worked as a cook at K & J Diner. She later returned to Minot where she worked as a chef at the Holiday Inn in Minot. Eva moved to Florida in 1981, then to Fargo in 1993. She entered Elim Care Center in 2001. Eva was an excellent cook and loved to garden. She is survived by three daughters, Sandra (Virgil) Melby of Fargo, Terry Brummond of St. Petersburg, FL, and Sharon Brummond of El Rancho, NM; and one son, Albert Brummond of Tampa Bay, FL. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Brummond; and two brothers, Herbert and Fred. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Pioneer House Chapel at Elim Care Center, Fargo.
