Gail "Snickles" Johnson

Gail R. Johnson passed away suddenly, on the Sixteenth of June, 2017 of a brain aneurysm surrounded by loving family and friends at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND. She was born in Detroit Lakes, MN on December 7th, 1951, graduated from North High in Fargo in June 1970 and was married to her loving husband Donald D. Johnson on December 5th, 1980. Gail earned her real estate license on the first try and was a real estate office manager for 7 years until disabled. She ran the local Fantasy Football League for 20 years and very much enjoyed summers on Sybil Lake with family and friends in her camper. Another favorite of hers was their frequent trips to Las Vegas and playing the large variety of video poker machines. When at home, one of her greatest joys was playing with her Grandpuppies. Gail is survived by her husband of 37 years, Donald D. Johnson, her children, daughter Nicole N., Fargo, ND, and son Chad J. Peterson (Shay M.) of Barnesville, MN. Surviving grandchildren are Allison A., Barnesville, MN, Brayden G. Barnesville, MN and Sheldon L., Fargo, ND. She is also survived by her sister Susan Trusdale of Fargo, ND and brother Steve of Casselton. ND and many Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. Preceding Gail in death were her parents George and Shirley Pavlicek and grandparents Elmer and Rita Fisher. The family wishes to give special thanks to the Dialysis Unit at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND for all of their caring and concern for Gail when she was there.
