Jerome Gordan Fjeld, 89, Fargo, ND passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at his home. He was born July 8, 1927 to Peder and Emma (Jellum) Fjeld of Lake Park, MN. He was the youngest of 5 children. On June 9, 1979, Jerome was united in marriage to Frances DeMars Sullivan in Fargo. He farmed in Lake Park until 1984. He moved to Fargo and worked at the Flying J for 26 years. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Frances; and 3 step daughters, Claudia (Jerome) Lima, Fargo, Michelle (Robin) Herb, Laveen, AZ, Patricia (Randy Asselin) Sullivan, Fargo; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. His is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Stanton Fjeld; 3 sisters, Mable Fjeld, Alice Bergerson, and Evelyn Knudson. Memorials preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley. There will be a visitation from 6-7:00 PM with a prayer service following at 7:00 PM on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center. The funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 20, 2017 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo with a visitation one hour prior.

  3. Frances and family. I am sorry for the passing of Jerome. He will be missed. I enjoyed the visits we would have at the office talking about gardening, weather and family.
