Kathryn Whiting

Kathryn Jean Whiting, 70, died April 9, 2017 at the Sanford Palliative Care Center, Fargo. She was born July 29, 1946 in Mt. Lake, MN to Kenneth and Mavis Whiting. Kathryn was a lifelong Fargo resident. She is survived by her lifelong partner, Robert Eisenbeis, Fargo; her sister, Laura (Scott) Strehlow, Brookfield, WI; her sister-in-law, Mary Olen, Milwaukee, WI; six nieces and nephews and their families, and her loyal pet, Trix. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John. Kathryn and Bob spent 31 years together. She rode across the country with him during his trucking career and assisted with his record keeping. She considered him her ‘rock’. Kathryn volunteered many hours with Fargo organizations including Bethany Homes, Fargo Parks Senior Bingo and the MS Society. She loved her family and was a devoted daughter, helping to care for and support her parents in their later years. She was a good friend and despite hardships and health issues was always ready for a conversation. She was an accomplished ceramics artist who sold her works and gave many special seasonal pieces to her family. She also enjoyed bingo, plants, computer games and crafting. Special thanks to Red River Valley Hospice for their care and to Brandon and Maria Eisenbeis for their support. Memorial donations, in memory of Kathryn, can be made to Bob Eisenbeis. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm on Saturday, April 29th, memorial service to follow at 2pm at Boulger Funeral Home, 123 10th Street South, Fargo. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Clitherall, MN.
