Kenneth “Kenny” G. Sanger, 86, West Fargo, North Dakota passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at his home under the care of his family and Hospice of the Red River Valley. Kenny was born July 13, 1931 in Fargo, North Dakota to Bernard and Shirley (Moran) Sanger. He graduated from Glyndon High School in 1948. He graduated from Valley City with an Associate’s Degree in Mechanics. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict from 1953-1954. He married Delores Schneider on June 3, 1954 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. They made their home in Minneapolis, Fargo and finally West Fargo. He worked on the family farm, before working in mechanics and eventually as a brakeman for the Burlington Northern Railroad, retiring in 1993. Kenny enjoyed going camping and traveling as well as attending the Steam Threshers reunion in Rollag and camping in Itasca State Park every year. He also loved to watch Western movies. While living in their established home in West Fargo, along with raising their children, they raised many pets including, dogs, horses, racoons and cats. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Delores, West Fargo, ND; children, Nicky Lambert, Lisbon, ND, Rena (Keith) Laier, Moorhead, MN, Kathy Martin, West Fargo, ND, Keith Sanger, New Rockford, ND; sisters, Patty Sanger, Moorhead, MN, Bev Miller, AZ; 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Karen McDonald, grandson, Branden Sanger, brothers, Greg and Jerry Sanger and aunt, Mary Alice Sanger.
