Kyle Halvorson, 32, Fargo, died on Monday, May 15, 2017. He was born on January 8, 1985 to Blair and Beth (Burkland) Halvorson in Bismarck, ND. Kyle was raised in Minot, ND, Burnsville, MN, and Rugby, ND. He graduated from Rugby HS in 2003. Following graduation, he attended UND in Grand Forks, ND. Kyle had worked at numerous restaurants in Grand Forks and Fargo. He was quite an accomplished cook. Growing up, Kyle loved playing baseball, golfing in the family “scrambles,” and hanging out with his friends and brothers. He also played the saxophone in band. Kyle enjoyed fantasy football, the Green Bay Packers, and was so excited to see his Cubs finally win the World Series last year. He will be fondly remembered by his family for his sense of humor, kind heart, and infectious smile. Kyle was an amazing son, brother, and uncle. It was such a joy watching him with his nieces and nephew. Kyle will be greatly missed by his parents, Blair and Beth Halvorson, Barnesville, MN; brothers, Braden (Carrie) Halvorson, Wadena, MN; Jared Halvorson, Jamestown; and Alec Halvorson, Fargo; nieces and nephew, Jenna, Lauren, and Zachary, all of Wadena; grandmother, Angie Halvorson, Tolna, ND; uncles, Todd Halvorson and Jeff Burkland; aunt, Valerie (Halvorson) Johnson; and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sidney and Beulah Burkland; grandfather, Roger Halvorson; and aunt, Monica (Halvorson) Clark.

  5. Kyle was the sweetest, most amazing human. He frequently reached out to ask about my sick child and offered support and admiration. I will never forget him and will speak highly of him to my sweet daughter as she grows. I know he will watch over her now just as he did while he was here with us. We will miss his sweet messages forever. We love you Kyle. Prayers to his family who raised such an amazing young man.

    We knew his Aunt Monica as she was married to my cousin Wayne. Another loss, we miss her terribly! Monica and Kyle are together and getting to know each other again. Prayers for the family.

However, you are not alone, in the bible there is a beautiful invitation in Psalms 55:22 “Throw your burden on Jehovah, And he will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to fall” God will not let you crumble in this time of need. May the loving memories with Kyle and faith in God strengthen you during this difficult time.
