Mary Wells passed away peacefully and quietly from complications of dementia; surrounded by her family. Mary J. Bonogofsky was born on December 1, 1925 at Brisbane, ND the daughter of Matt and Katherine (Kraft) Bonogofsky. Mary grew up on the farm and graduated from Carson High School. She married Floyd Wells in New Lipzig, ND on November 2, 1947, the couple then moved to Fargo, ND. She worked in the hospitality industry for many years. She is survived by her children: Wanda (Jim) Brekke, Anoka, MN; Rhonda Jones, Fargo; and Patrick (Nanci) Wells, Monticello, MN; 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Margaret Emch, Dickinson, ND; Bernice Zimmerman, Seattle, WA; David (Maryln Ann) Bonogofsky, Mandan, ND; and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Bonogofsky, Carson, ND. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd in 2001, and her siblings: Josephine (Andy) Emter, Ann Weinberger, Dorothy Woodbury, Frank Bonogofsky; James Bonogofsky; and Jacob, Agnes, and Gottlieb Bonogofsky. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND.
