Pearl passed away on December 7, 2016 at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo at the age of 93. Pearl was born on August 14, 1923, the daughter of Joe and Jenny Hoekstra in Barnes County, ND. She attended and graduated from Greenland High School. Pearl was united in marriage to John H. Anderson on October 12, 1943 in Marion. Together they farmed until their retirement. She was a lifetime member of Marion Lutheran Church and was active with the Marion School PTA. Throughout the years she loved to spend time bowling, gardening and farming, cooking, baking, fishing, camping, spending time with her children and grandchildren and sporting and musical events, and collecting spoons. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker and cherished her family time. She had an unwavering faith and treasured many of the lifelong friendships she made. She was kind, loving, and had a gracious way about her and an infectious smile.
