Ryan V. Lopez

ryan v. lopez
Ryan Vincent Lopez was born October 23, 1960 in Moorhead, MN to Marjorie and Manuel Lopez. Ryan graduated from Moorhead High School. He worked as a Gas Attendant and Tow Truck Operator for Bob’s Standard, a Night Custodian for WDAY, a Cook for Duane’s Pizza, a Tow Truck Operator/Mechanic for Ed’s Towing and later became the manager. During the fall, he helped with beet harvest with area farmers. Ryan married Susan Marie Hansen on July 13, 1990 and they made their home in Fargo, ND. In 1992, they were blessed with the gift of their daughter, Mia Sue. Ryan’s greatest joys in life were being with his family, finding and selling cars and guns for friends and family, and diagnosing and fixing anything with an engine, electrical or plumbing issue. He will be remembered for his humorous story-telling abilities of turning a mundane experience into an adventure of a lifetime. Ryan enjoyed helping on the Hansen family farm with everything, anything and anytime. Ryan worked at the Moorhead Police Department as a Community Service officer, and later worked at Gremada/Caterpillar in Re-Manufacturing. Ryan always enjoyed going to work to make a difference in other’s lives. Ryan loved hunting, fishing, golfing, collecting tools and firearms, riding motorcycle, traveling and spending time with his friends at Kilby Butte Hutterite Colony, hunting gophers and creating huge pizza parties for the colony and community. Ryan became disabled for the past 10 years due to his health conditions. Ryan went to his heavenly home on October 16, 2017, at fifty-six years of age. Ryan is lovingly survived by his wife, Susan and his daughter, Mia Sue; his siblings, Randall (Roberta) Lopez, Alderson, OK; Robert (Jean) Lopez, Glyndon, MN; Marla Lopez Dooley, Salt Lake City, UT; Laura (Doug) Lopez Dahl, Woodbury, MN; and his nephew and nieces. Ryan is preceded in death by his mother, father, and nephew, Kevin Lopez, and brother -in-law, William (Bill) Dooley. A special thanks to the Sanford Dialysis team, Hospice of the Red River Valley, friends and family for their amazing kindness, love and support. Per Ryan’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
