Delph Wayne Kundert, age 71, died Saturday, January 22, 2005 at his home in Fargo. Delph ?Del? was born on May 20, 1933 in Bowdle, SD, the son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Fiedler) Kundert. He was one year old when the family moved to and lived in Casselton, ND for 2 years and then to Fargo where Del grew up and lived until his death. Shortly after graduating from Central High in 1951, Del was drafted by the Army and served his country in Korea. After his discharge, he worked for the Fargo Park District and attended NDSU for a short time. He enrolled at Wahpeton NDSCS in1955. He married Esther Bierdeman on September 30, 1956 in Sykeston, ND. Upon graduation, R. S. Kvamme Construction in Moorhead, MN employed Del as an architectural draftsman/estimator/salesman in March 1957. In 1966 he formed a partnership with James Antonopolis and they launched their own general contracting business, Advance Structures, Inc. After Jim?s death, Del continued in the business as sole proprietor until he decided to sell and retire in November 1989. Del was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church for many years and more recently worshiped at Grace Lutheran Church. He was a longstanding member of the American Legion. He was an avid golfer and pro football fan, loved hunting, the cabin at Lake Lizzie and also enjoyed traveling, yard work and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Albert ?Prince? and Woodrow and a sister, Lillian. He is survived by his son, Wayne; Wayne?s fiancee, Jeannie Christl; brother, Alvin; sister in law, Lois; many nieces and nephews and best friend, Donna Schultz. Visitation: Wednesday, January 26 from 5-8 pm in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo and one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral Service: Thursday, January 27 at 2:00 pm in Grace Lutheran Church, Fargo. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo. Arrangements with Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
