Geoffrey Alan Spina was born October 6, 1957, in Roseau, Minnesota, and passed away suddenly on November 6, 2021, at the age of 64 years. Left to mourn his passing are his son, Jordan (Alisha) and grand daughter, Eva; his parents, John and Betty Spina; his siblings, Greg (Julie), Jean (Jerry) Delorme, Gary, Kari (Blake) Dunn; one surviving uncle, Ray Olson; many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and all his many friends. Geof graduated from Roseau High School in 1976. Following graduation, Geof enlisted in the United States Air Force. He underwent basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He served his country for six years, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant, at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. After leaving the air force, he was employed at various jobs. He trucked for several years for Marvin Windows and he was employed for many years at Wright Tree Service in Minneapolis. Geof’s free spirit brought him back to over-the-road long haul trucking. For quite some time, almost up until the time of his retirement, he operated his own tractor/truck and trailer. Geof logged many miles over the course of his trucking career. He retired in the spring of 2021. Geof loved the lakes region where he enjoyed the summers boating and grilling. On retirement, he planned to winter in Harlingen, Texas, where he was at the time of his death. He loved the warm weather and was always heading for the pool and the hot tub. Geof was a very special person. He was a free spirit who seemed to love the open road. He had seen every state in the U.S. and felt that Minnesota and Texas were the most beautiful. He had a kind and generous heart. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life in Geof’s honor will take place at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Boulger Funeral Home, 123 10th Street South in Fargo, N.D. Military interment to follow at the Fargo National Cemetery.

  1. Thank you for that beautiful picture of Geoff’s life. He will be so missed for his loving heart and free spirit- and my heart goes out to all of his family ❤️
Sending love from San Diego, ReNee ( cousin)

  2. Page’s 2nd cousin, Geoff, was such a kind, gentle soul. Our sympathies go to all his family. Page will be there on the 24th and Tom is sad his work travels won’t get him to Fargo on time. Love, Page and Tom Hunter

  3. I’m so glad that I was able to see him and all of my other cousins at the family reunion a couple of years ago.
Due to being raised in NewJersey, we were unable to see each other on a regular basis.
But, I do have the occasional phone calls for me to remember you by.
    You are truly missed.
Deepest Smypathy to my Aunt Betty & Uncle John, and to the entire Spina family.

  4. My condolences to the Spina family! Rest well Geof, we will miss you at the lake and all the fun times together boating and grilling out.

  5. We really only saw Geoff when we were all at the lake. We had many good times boating, visiting and grilling. We will miss you very much. God bless you and your family and friends.

  6. I’m going to miss Geof’s funny texts that I would get almost every day from him. He was a very kind, generous and giving friend.
