Helen Marie Anderson, 100 years old, of Arlington, TX, formerly Walcott, ND passed away peacefully on July 30, 2021. Her funeral was held on August 11th, 2021 at West Prairie Free Lutheran Church, rural Kindred, Pastor Ryan Patenaude officiating. Helen is the beloved daughter of the late William Pagel and Louise Whitting of Chaffee, ND. Helen was married to Clarence Anderson for 56 years who preceded her in death in 1998. Helen was born in Chaffee, North Dakota on January 18, 1921, where she grew up on the farm and graduated from Chaffee High School. On February 7, 1942, Helen married Clarence Anderson in Chaffee, ND. They moved to the Anderson farm near Walcott and farmed there for 46 years before moving to Fargo, ND. Helen was a fulltime homemaker cooking, baking and canning fruits and vegetables. She had a large garden and yard that kept her busy during the summer months. She was active in West Prairie Ladies Aid, serving as their President for several years. While Clarence participated in Gideons International Organization Helen was active in the Gideon Ladies Auxiliary. Helen had a blessed life and is survived by her 3 daughters. JoAnn Mink, Arlington, TX, Mary Lou and Mike Coulter, Arlington, TX and Rennae and Gregory Bell, Cranston, RI. She also leaves 3 grandchildren, Christopher Dondi Markham, Allen, TX, Tiffany Hamrick, Carlsbad, CA, and Brett Bell, Reading, MA, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who cherished their time with her. She is preceded in death by her 8 siblings, Elmer, Clarence, Melvin, William, Dennis, Linda Kemmer, Evelyn Miller and Margaret Asker. Helen was a Christian woman who was immensely proud of her family and prided herself by being a loving mother and grandmother.   1. Our sympathy to you girls and families on your Mother’s passing. Nancy and I were just talking the other day wondering how all you guys are. Lots of memories of Clarence and Helen and Thron and Louise. Hope you guys are all doing well! Wish we could be there but are living in AZ full time now. Take care!

  3. We are sorry to hear of Helen’s passing.
    Your mom & dad was one of the highlights of our family trips to North Dakota. Mom has good memories of Aunt Helen. I know that it doesn’t matter if she was 100 and went peacefully, the hurt it still there. Thank goodness that your are all God loving people and know that she is with out Good Lord.
