Marcelian (Marcy) DeSautel passed away on October 23, 2021 under the care of Red River Hospice of the Valley, surrounded by her loving family.
Marcy was born Marcelian Lizotte on March 9, 1930 in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota to Art and Marie Lizotte. She worked as a telephone operator in Grafton, North Dakota where she met her future husband George DeSautel.
Marcy & George were married on December 29, 1958 and lived their lives together in Fargo, North Dakota. Marcy loved to cook, paint, crochet and have her children and grandchildren down at the Lake.
Survivors include her spouse, George; children Linda Sorby (Randy), Nancy Levin (Tim), Ross DeSautel (Tammy), Lois Drotar (Mike); grandchildren Ryan Sorby (Brittany), Nick Levin (Paige), Krista Juth (Trevor), Macy Stuart, Derek Levin (Kathryn), Kyle Sorby (Morgan), Alec Sorby, Matthew Drotar and great-grandchildren.
Marcy is preceded in death by her parents, six sisters, four brothers and grandson Eric.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Nativity Catholic Church, Fargo, ND on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation beginning one hour prior. Burial will be at Holy Cross South Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
