Tanya Ann Holbrook, Fargo, ND passed away on April 11, 2021 at Sanford Health in Fargo. She was born on April 29, 1998 to Vicki Wieland and Ricky Holbrook in Fargo. She grew up in West Fargo and graduated from West Fargo High School in 2016.
Throughout her life, Tanya faced many obstacles. Her greatest and proudest moment was the day she became a mother to MaKylah Ann Marie. Tanya was an amazing mother whose daughter was her entire world. If she was having a bad day, she would grab her daughter and dance and sing and just be silly. She was her daughter’s whole world and MaKylah was hers.
Tanya loved listening to music and sang in the choir in high school. Fishing was another one of her favorite hobbies. She also enjoyed playing cards, especially rummy with her Grandma Wanda. She and her grandma also liked to go to restaurants with their good friend, Dave. Tanya and Dave also spent many Christmases dressed up as Santa and his elf visiting different homes in the community.
Tanya loved playing Wii and enjoyed many tournaments with her family. In the summers, she loved to camp and sit around the fire and have water balloon fights. Tanya also liked going for motorcycle rides.
She adored children and aspired to be a preschool teacher. Tanya cherished the time she spent with her friends and family, especially her daughter, MaKylah. MaKylah was her shining light and Tanya was a dedicated mother and loves her daughter to the moon and back.
She is survived by her daughter, MaKylah; parents, Vicki (Randy) Wieland and Ricky (Buffy) Holbrook; siblings, Kelsie Holbrook, Dylan Holbrook, Samantha Anderson, Michelle Anderson, Hannah Anderson, Erica Wieland, Calie Wieland; grandparents, Wanda Landies (special friend, David Sandbeck), Jeff and Sherry Withers, Daryl and Vicky Anderson, and Jim Burgard; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephew, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Delores Holbrook, Aloysius Jahner, Rita Burgard, Edgar Wieland; and several aunts and uncles.
Tanya is loved by so many and will continue to be cherished by all who knew her. Her life will go on through her daughter, MaKylah.

She brought joy and light heartedness to our times together. She was kind and compassionate. She continued on even with all the medical issues that troubled her. We were saddened to learn of Tanya’s passing. She was an optimistic person and conquered many things in her young life. Her fearless attitude towards life showed in her smile and all she did. MaKylah will always know her mom loved her unconditionally. We hold you all in our hearts and wish you peace.

She was more than just a granddaughter to me, she was my closest friend. I really miss hearing her voice on the phone and that of her little daughter. Mykilah always wanted to talk to her “great grandma” and she had a lot to say.
I also miss when Tanya and I played cards together. It was a long time ago, but at least we continued the tradition at Vicki’s.
Tanya will be in my heart and my prayers forever.

I remember when I had first met your brother, Dylan, and I met you while you were going through so many medical struggles at such a young and early age. You had such a big heart and even greater love to the ones God placed in your life. There is so much more I could say but I can’t say those things because it would take so long to speak. And I just wanted to leave the Aaronic Blessing just for you. The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
