Beverly Simenson, age 87, formerly of Kindred, ND, died peacefully on May 24, 2015 at Cozy Country Living in Hawley, MN. She was surrounded by family and Hospice of the Red River Valley. Beverly Lou Trom was born on May 20, 1928 in Woods, ND to Oscar and Louise Trom. She graduated from Kindred Public School. On November 4, 1946 she married Lowell Sidney Simenson. They farmed near Kindred. In 2004, they moved to West Fargo. They have resided at Cozy Country Living in Hawley for the last year. They were members of Norman Lutheran in Kindred and Atonement Lutheran in Fargo. Bev was devoted to her husband and family. She stayed very busy raising six children, helping her husband on the farm, and taking care of a huge garden. She wrote in journals that have been compiled into a book about her life. She was an avid Twins fan and loved to play pinochle. Her family treasures all the beautiful afghans and quilts she made. She is survived by her husband, Lowell; children, Dennis (Carol) Bismarck, ND; Mary (Rod) Hinz, Clitherall, MN; Nanette (Mark) Langmo, Pelican Rapids, MN; Renee (Clay) Lambert, Broomfield, CO; Linda (Wayne) Lofgren, Hitterdal, MN; David (Becky) Fargo, ND; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jerry (Bill) Lechner, Fargo, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Louise Trom; and her brothers, Orville and Richard “Dick” Trom. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of the Red River Valley, and Jeff and Ginger Dauner of Cozy Country Living for the loving care they provided. Memorials preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
