Jeffrey George Bruns Jr., age 28, of Fargo, ND, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Sanford Hospital. J.J. was born December 6, 1986 at St. Ansgar’s Hospital in Moorhead, MN to Jeffrey and Cynthia (Rick) Bruns. He attended Fargo Public Schools starting at Longfellow, then Ben Franklin Middle School and graduating from Fargo North High School where he played hockey, and enjoyed participating in welding, carpentry, and art classes. From a young age J.J looked forward to hunting and fishing with his father, grandfather, and friends. Those who knew J.J. wouldn’t be surprised to find him fishing from the end of the dock or out on the lake in a paddleboat. In his free time, J.J. and his friends and family spent many hours fixing up and driving jet skis, snowmobiles, R/C cars and bicycling. J.J. grew up working at A1 Radiator Sales and Repair, and was his Dad’s right hand man. He was a hard worker, loving and caring friend, and truly a beautiful person. J.J. will be remembered for his heart of gold! His ready smile and laughter will be greatly missed by all those he met. Survivors include his parents; sister, Brittney; grandfather, Elmer Bruns; aunts and uncles: Bob (Barb) Rick; Debbie (Steve) Woodstrom; David Rick; Carla (Dave) Brees; Bernie (Stacey) Rick; Bill Rick; Julie (Steve) Sillers; Jolyn (Dave) Krabbenhoft; and many cousins. J.J. was preceded in death by his grandparents; Janice Bruns and I.A. (Bert) Rick; his aunt, Bonnie Rick; and his beloved black cat, Snowball. Our sorrow turns to strength because of friends and family like you. His family would like to thank you for your many kind expressions of love and support.
