So sorry for your loss of Skip. Dave and I were your old Tamarac Lake neighbors when we had the tornado wreck everything.
I lost Dave after 52 years of marriage 5 months ago during this terrible covid time. He supposedly got a sepsis toe, spinal meningitis and complete paralysis and spent almost 4 weeks in the hospital ICU without a family member. I know how hard this is for you! Know I am thinking of you!

  33. Greg & Sarah Hayes says:

Cookie we were so taken back by this news. We so appreciated the work you and Skip did in establishing the Tamarac Lake Association. Your devoted work on such a tough task was so commendable. We continue to benefit from that work today. In addition your devotion to establishing a community at the lake with public gatherings to allow members and neighbors to meet and greet. This legacy will forever be appreciated and benefited by future folks who will never know the work involved. Both of you being shy about taking credit for anything, it’s no surprise Skip continued to think about others even with the funeral consideration. He will be missed, but his work here will go on. Blessings…

  34. Dave Christy says:

Cookie and family… I was a co-worker of Skip’s for about 14 years. As reflect on those days, it is hard to remember him without a slight mischievous grin, as he enjoyed playing a practical joke on an occasion or two (more than a few of those made me the target). However, in addition to this fun-loving part of him, was the heart of a kind and caring person who would always be there to help his family and friends. He is missed! May God comfort you during this time.
