Adrian Torkelson

Adrian passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home in Crookston, MN, at the age of 82. Adrian was born on August 11, 1938, the son of Tenny and Evelyn (Kirksether) Torkelson in Halstad, Minnesota. He graduated from Twin Valley High School in 1956. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1957 until his discharge in 1959. Adrian is survived by his two sisters – Sharon (Torkelson) Stundahl and Eunice (Torkelson) Penn; his four children – Yvonne (Steve) Lawrence and their two children, Trent and Nathan of Seattle, Washington; Tim Torkelson of Seattle, Washington; Cathy (Casey) Barkus and their children, Warren and Josephine of Northern Florida; and Julia Dunkin and her children, Samantha, Dylan, Alexis, Austin, Hailey, and Jacob of Seattle, Washington. Also surviving are three nieces, one nephew, three grand nephews and two grand nieces. Burial will take place at the Fargo National Cemetery near Harwood, North Dakota with Military Funeral Honors at 1:00 PM on Tuesday.
