Agnes Hagen

Agnes Hagen, age 87, Kindred, ND, died Thursday, May 26, 2005, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo. Agnes Christine Sorbel was born on September 23, 1917 in Kindred, ND to Knute and Anna (Hatton) Sorbel. She was raised on a farm by Kindred, ND and married Peder Overboe on March 24, 1940. They farmed near Kindred and later operated the Corner Caf?. She also was employed in the Cafeteria in the Kindred Public School system. She was preceded in death by her husband Peder in 1976. On August 30, 1980 she married Orvin G. Hagen at the International Peace Gardens and they lived in the garden residence until 1986 when they moved back to Kindred. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, traveling and most of all her family. She was a long term member of the Legion Auxiliary and the women?s circle at Kindred Lutheran Church, 50 year member of the Wild Rose Homemaker?s Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Sons of Norway, and a member of the Gardening Club in Bottineau, ND, and the Bluebird Kitchen Band. She is survived by her husband, Orvin; children: Tom Overboe (Gloria) of West Fargo, ND, David Overboe (Debora) of Kindred, ND, Sheryl Ask (Curtis) of Kent, MN, and Phyllis Linscheid (Jim) of Anchorage, AK; seven grandchildren: Kimberly Bauer and her children: Shane, Megan, and Jacob; John Overboe; Julie Overboe; Kristin Overboe; Jason Ask (Fran) and their children: Katelyn, Emily; Andrea Thimjon (Jay) and their children: Kobe, Riley; and Staci Lee (Veran Kapaun) and their child: Matthew The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Kindred Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. on Monday, May 30, 2005 at Fredrikson Funeral Chapel, Kindred, ND with a prayer service at 7:00 pm and 1 hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.
