  Agnes Dagmar Johnson, age 99, formerly of Nevis, Mn. and Grand Forks, N.D., passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013  at Villa Maria in Fargo, N.D. Agnes, the youngest of three children, was born to Theodore and Ingeborg Haraldson  August 20, 1914 in Northwood, N.D.  The family moved to Grand Forks where Agnes graduated from high school and attended college at the University of North Dakota.  She married Walter S. Johnson on September 27,1941.  They had three children, Karen (John) Mondry, Lynda (Robert) Evenson, and Walter (Renee) Johnson.  They resided in Grand Forks until 1989 when they moved to Nevis, Mn.  She recently resided at Riverview Place in Fargo, N.D.  Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter, her daughter Lynda, her granddaughter Mamie Alice Johnson, her sisters Evelyn (Keith) O'Leary and Helen Minton.  She is survived by her daughter Karen, her son Walter, eight grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

    Although I left Grand Forks over 45 years ago, I still remember Agnes as a loving, warm person who took great interest in the Leo kids during our years growing up in Grand Forks. You have my sincere condolences.

    We are cousins, once or twice removed.

  4. grand forks NdWe are so saddened to hear of aunt Agnes’ passing. She was a very sweet Aunt. I have many fond memories of her and uncle Walter. Due to illness, I am unable to attend the memorial a card is on the way. God Bless all of you, and our sympathies go out to you also. My brother,Jack and Carol send prayers your way too.
