Albertine passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Elim Care Center in Fargo, surrounded by her family, under the loving care of the Elim Staff and Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Albertine Lague was born on November 19, 1924, the daughter of Virgil and Victoria (Bergeron) Lague in Bottineau, ND. At an early age she moved with her family to Moorhead, MN where she attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1944.  Albertine began working at Northwestern Bell and at Reinhardt Brothers where she met her future husband, Howard.

Albertine was united in marriage to Howard Russell Johnson Sr. on March 20, 1947. The majority of their lives, they made their home in Bismarck, ND and Fargo. In Bismarck, they owned and operated Bismarck Appliance Center for many years.   While in Fargo, Albertine was an active volunteer since 1994 with RSVP at Trollwood Village Senior Center.

Albertine is survived by her children, Rochelle (Doug) Wambach of Georgetown, MN; Howard “Russell” Jr. (Judi) Johnson of Fargo; Randall (Mary Kay) Johnson of Moorhead; and Roberta (Tom) Moorhouse of Mankato, MN; her grandchildren – Lee Engle, Joshua Johnson, Jed Johnson, Isaac Johnson, Rachael Heinen, Adam Johnson, Rebecca Johnson Moorhouse, Andrew Moorhouse, and Victoria Moorhouse. Also surviving are her great grandchildren – Garrett, Madilynn, Jack, and Nora; her brothers, Leo (Delores) Lague, Arthur (Betty) Lague, and Jerome (Joy) Lague; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and many other very dear relatives.

Albertine was preceded in death by her husband, Howard in 1992; her sister, Alice Bussell; and her brother, Noel Lague.

    I am an old friend of Mary Kays from Detroit Lakes & just lost my dad Sept. 3rd of this year. My deepist sympathy to your family over your loss. We have been blessed by having them so long and each day it gets little better.
