Alice Eggert

Alice O. Eggert, 102, formerly of Casselton, ND, died Sunday, June 4, 2006 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND Alice was born to Henry H. And Bertha A. (Lange) Otos on May 22, 1904 in Mapleton, ND. She graduated from Mapleton High School in 1922 and graduated from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND in 1926 with a BS in Education. She taught in Morris, MN, St. James, MN, Stillwater, MN and was the head of the business department. She married Albert Lewis Eggert in August 27, 1935. They farmed near Mapleton until 1965, lived in Mapleton until 1983, then moved to Casselton from 1983-1999, and moved to Fargo in 2000. Albert died August 1, 1972. Alice was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mapleton, then Westminster Presbyterian of Casselton since 1918. Alice is survived by her children; Susan Anne (John) Altenburg, Tampa Fl, Jane Marie (Eugene) Piper, Casselton, ND, grandchildren, Carl (Karen) Piper, Fargo, ND, Ryan (Maria) Piper, Helena, MT, Sara (Kirk) Johnson, Casselton, Joann Enos, Ft. Mill, SC, Karen (Marty) Amon, Palo Alto, CA nine great grandchildren and sister-in-laws Sylvia Eggert, Fargo, ND and Anna Gallagher, Fargo, ND. Alice is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert, her children, David and Mary Alice, her brothers, Clarence and H. Donald, her sisters Helen, Florence, and Marjorie. The funeral for Alice will be Wednesday, June 7th at 2:00 p.m. at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Casselton, ND. The prayer service will be Tuesday, June 6, at 7:00pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, ND with visitation from 4:00-7:00pm at Boulger=s and 1 hour before the funeral service on Wednesday.
