Alice Erickson, age 90 of Fargo passed away peacefully on January 29, 2010. Alice Beatrice Liudahl, the daughter of Oscar and Julia was born May 4th 1919 in Davenport ND. She attended Davenport High School and graduated from Moorhead State Teachers College. She went on to teach in a rural school by Gardner. On November 30th 1941 Alice married Elder Erickson from Kindred ND and were members of Gol Lutheran Church. They farmed several years near Kindred and moved to Fargo in 1997. Alice had many talents and enjoyed gardening, crafts and traveling. She excelled in sewing and made most of her clothes. She was very active in her church and community, was a member of Homemakers Club, Tuesday Club, Sons of Norway, and spent much of her time volunteering at Bethany Homes and Hospice. She was a wonderful wife, a loving mother and grandmother, the world’s best mother-in-law and was loved by many. Alice was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Julia and brother Norman Liudahl. She will be remembered and missed by her husband Elder of 68 years; daughter: Janice (Rudy) Blake, Spokane, WA; son: Orville (Lynne) Erickson, Potterville MI; son: James (Judy) Erickson, Fargo; sisters: Hazel Labatte, Lake Park, MN; Mildred Nordquist, Washburn, ND; sister-in-law: Agnes Liudahl, West Fargo; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 5:30-6:30 PM Monday, February 1, 2010 at the Mavis Whiting Chapel at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo – and also one hour prior to the funeral in the church on Tuesday Prayer Service: 6:30 PM Monday at the Mavis Whiting Chapel Funeral Service: 11 AM Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Olivet Lutheran Church in Fargo Burial: Kindred Cemetery in Kindred, ND Arrangements entrusted to the care of Fredrikson Funeral Chapel in Kindred, ND
