Alice Kringen, 71, Fargo, died Saturday, February 22, 2003 at Meritcare Hospital, Fargo.
Alice Larson was born to Elmer and Hilda Larson on August 13, 1931 in Minot, North Dakota. She grew up and attended school in Des Lacs, ND, until moving to Minot in 1945. Alice graduated from Minot High School in 1949. Alice Larson and Herbert L. Kringen were married on December 8, 1951 in Rolla, ND. She worked for Westlie Motors in Minot as a bookkeeper and at Don Moe Dodge in Minot. She then worked for Haas Chevrolet in Turtle Lake, ND for 20 years before retiring in 1995. Alice and Herbert have lived in Minot, Sheyenne, Esmond, Rolla, Parshall, Turtle Lake, and Tuttle, ND before coming to Fargo in 1994.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert, Fargo; three children, Herb (Janie) Kringen, Bismarck, ND, Karol (Mark) Hetland, Custer, SD, and Jon (Beth) Kringen, Enderlin, ND; grandchildren, Matt Hetland, Kari Hetland, Alex Kringen, and Max Kringen; step-grandchildren, Joshua Ogaard and Cody Ogaard; mother, Hilda Larson, Rolla, ND; two sisters, Gladys (Dick) Pearce, Helena, MT, and Inez (Maynard) Tinglestad, Grand Forks, ND; and one brother, Ernest (Ceil) Larson, Colorado Springs, CO.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer, and a grandson, Bradley Hetland.
