Alice Zwack

Alice Zwack, 84, of Fargo, ND, died Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo. Alice Mary Brunelle was born on June 7, 1931 in Fargo. She grew up near Wild Rice, ND and attended school at St. Joseph’s Academy, St. Benedict’s Church, Wild Rice. She moved to Fargo where she attended Agassiz Junior High School and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1949. Alice worked at Hebst Department Store and Dakota Paper after graduation. She married Maurice J. Zwack on July 3, 1951 in Moorhead. They lived in Moorhead until moving to St. Cloud. They were then transferred to Wisconsin, Nebraska and back to Minnesota. She worked for General Mills until retiring in 1994 when she came to Fargo. In her retirement she enjoyed cooking, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Maurice (Michele) Zwack Jr.; grandchildren: Joleen Zwack (Clint LaRocque) and Jennifer (Tyler) Martin; great-grandchildren: Kaycie and Charlee; and sister, Rolanda Thomas. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Raymond Brunelle, Marcel Brunelle, and Leon Brunelle; and sisters: Rose Hermann and Marcella Robinson. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Monday, October 12, 2015, at Nativity Catholic Church, Fargo. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with a Prayer Service at 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 11, at Nativity Catholic Church. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery North.
