Allen Gene Ruff, 65, Fargo ND died on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at his home. Allen was born February 18, 1948 in Fargo to Aron (Lefty) Ruff and Virginia (Westley) Ruff. He had one older brother, David Ruff and two older sisters, Dianne (Ruff) Forrest and Sharon (Ruff) Larkin. Allen grew up in West Fargo and attended school there. He graduated from the Svee Home in Fargo in 1979. Allen was a good cook and loved to make meals for him and his long-time roommate Mark Thompson and long-time friend Mark Rachow. He loved cooking outdoors on his grill. Allen will be remembered for his humor. He certainly did inherit the “Ruff” humor. He was a good and thoughtful man who cared deeply for his family. Allen is survived by his brother David (Nancy) Ruff, Temecula, CA; Sharon (Pat) Larkin, Fargo, ND; Dianne (Frank) Forrest, Grandview, WA; his nephews, Cody Larkin, Fargo; Scott Ruff, Fort Collins CO; and his niece Tracy Cota, Mission Viejo, CA. He was loved dearly by his family. The family wishes to thank Dyan Summers, Allen’s caseworker, and all those at Southeast Human Services and Cass County Social Services for their unending support and help. We want both Mark Thompson and Mark Rachow to know how much the family appreciates you both for being there for Allen day in and day out. Come with Me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest. Mark 6:31 May Allen rest in peace and may his memory be eternal.
