Alvin Brown

Alvin Brown was born August 29, 1923 in Lebanon, Kansas, where he grew up and attended school. Alvin was united in marriage to Catherine Bachmeier on August 29, 1958 in Fargo, North Dakota. They made their home in the Fargo-Moorhead area for a number of years. The family moved to the Aberdeen, SD area in 1972 and lived there until 1991, when they moved to Barnesville, MN. Alvin worked in plumbing and heating sales with Adams Inc. of Fargo, and with McLaughlin Electric in Aberdeen. After his retirement in 1985, he worked with Catherine, helping to manage cafes. Along with spending time with his family, Alvin enjoyed gardening and working crossword puzzles, and was an avid Minnesota Twins fan. Alvin is survived by his five children: Terry (Russ) Overbo, Fargo, Jeff (Rosanne) Brown, Dayton, Ohio, Bruce (Anna) Brown, San Antonio, Texas, Shelly (Bradley) Larson, Louisburg, MN, and Todd Brown, Fargo, ND; 22 grandchildren: Joshua, Rusty, Elizabeth and Ashley Overbo; Erin and Deanna Brown; Vincent and Joseph Brown;
