Ann Thompson

Ann Thompson, 50, of Hillsboro died Sunday, June 4, 2006 in the Hillsboro Medical Center, Hillsboro, ND. Ann A. Kanwischer was born on September 16, 1955 in Kensal, ND to Henry and Janet (Hart) Kanwischer. She graduated from high school in Carrington and attended NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND, Mayville State College in Mayville, ND and Northwest Technical College in Moorhead, MN. She married Roger Thompson on June 21, 1975 in Hunter, ND. She was currently working as a CNA at Hillsboro Medical Center. Ann enjoyed spending time at the lake and with her children. She will always be remembered for putting others before herself. Ann was especially looking forward to becoming a grandmother in December. She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet and her sister, Rita Schaefer. Ann is survived by her husband, Roger of Hillsboro; sons, Jared of Grand Forks, ND and Joshua of Grand Forks, ND; her father, Henry (Mary) of Jamestown, ND; brother, Lynn (Susan) Kanwischer of San Antonio, TX; brother-in-law, Louie (Jeanne) Schaefer of Cathay, ND; sisters, Charlene (Mike) Schoen of Oxford, NE, Sharon Kanwischer of Greeley, CO; step-mother, Charlotte Kanwischer of Greeley, CO; 5 nieces and 5 nephews. Visitation: Friday, June 9 from 5-8 pm in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hillsboro and one hour prior to the service on Saturday in Hunter, ND. Prayer Service: Friday, June 9 at 7:00 pm in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Funeral Service: Saturday, June 10 at 10:30 am in St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hunter, ND. Burial: Hunter Cemetery, Hunter, ND. Arrangements entrusted to Wildeman Funeral Home, Hillsboro, ND.
