Anne Overby

Anne J. Overby, 92, Fargo, ND, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Edgewood Vista Senior Living Center. She was born on July 2, 1921 at Goodrich, MN to Henry and Gina (Hendrickson) Lien. They moved to Cooperstown, ND where Anne grew up and attended school.
In 1941, she married Norman H. Nelson in Cooperstown, ND and moved to Fargo in 1942. They were married until his passing in 1965.
Anne worked in food service throughout her career and worked as a receptionist for Red Owl Division Center for 10 years until her retirement.
Anne was united in marriage to Leo Overby in May 1972 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN and they made their home in Fargo. They enjoyed spending many winters in Fountain Hills and Mesa, AZ until his passing.
She is survived by her children, Norma (Alan) Kleingartner, West Fargo, ND; Robert (Diane) Nelson, Fargo, ND; stepson, Robert (Sheila) Overby, Fargo, ND; stepdaughter-in-law, Lynne (Jim) Overby Olds, Northfield, MN; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; and 10 brothers and sisters.
The family of Anne Overby would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Edgewood Vista and Hospice of the Red River Valley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
