Arlys passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 under the care of Bethany in Fargo at the age of 70.
Arlys Bahr was born on December 18, 1943, the daughter of Edwin and Violet Bahr in Bemidji, MN. She grew up in Fargo where she attended school, graduating from Fargo Central High in 1962. She continued her education at Moorhead State College in Moorhead where she received her degree in Elementary Education. Arlys worked for the Fargo Public School from 1984 until her retirement in 2004.
Arlys is survived by her brother, Rodney Bahr; her sisters - Jane (Leon) Comeau, Janet (Philip) Taylor, and Kathryn (Lyle) Durr; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Santa Rosa CAOur hearts are so sad to hear of Aunt Arlys’ passing. We have such wonderful memories from our times spent together, especially the times we shared at Height of Land Lake. Some of our fondest memories include: the early morning nature walks along the lake, reading books together, swimming, picking berries from the bed of Grandpa’s old truck, roasting marshmallows, and drinking Grandma’s homemade cocoa.
Aunt Arlys will always be held near and dear in our hearts. Our love, thoughts and prayers go out to all of our loved ones back home. Love,

I had the pleasure of living across the street from Arlys for 10+ years. She was always up for some good conversation and was one of the nicest ladies I have gotten a chance to know. She will be missed for sure. Sincere sympathies to her family.
