Arnold S. Eid, 99 of Fargo, died Thursday, February 16, 2006 in his home. Arnold Sidney Eid was born on September 4, 1906 in Albert Lea, Minnesota to Bent and Anna Sophie Eid. His family moved to North Dakota and he graduated from high school in McVille. He received his undergraduate degree in Mayville and his Master?s degree at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. On June 27, 1932, he married Agnes S. Bunde near McVille. They lived in Gascoyne, ND for two years before moving to Oslo, MN where he was superintendent. He also spent three years working for Standard Oil in Cavalier, ND. The majority of his teaching career was spent in Ada as principal and a teacher. His summer months were spent farming in Nelson County, ND. In 1994, Arnold and Agnes moved to Fargo and spent the winters in Mesa, AZ. Arnold was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes; brothers, Elmer, Manford and Malford; sisters, Beda, Bertina, Sidonie and Mabel. He is survived by his daughters, Marlene (Arnold) Overby of Beaver Bay, MN and Dina (Bill) Brady of Fargo; five grandchildren, Robyn (Karl) Borge of LaCrosse, WI, Anne Marie (John) Gronski of Superior, WI, Daniel Overby of Greensboro, NC, Reid Brady of Fargo, Erin (George) Watson of Wahpeton, ND; four great grandchildren; his sister, Hilda Johnson of Fargo and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 19 at 2:00 pm in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Ada Cemetery, Ada, MN.
