Arthur Lewis

Arthur G. Lewis, age 74, Fargo, passed away Monday, November 29, 2004, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo. Arthur Giles Lewis was born December 15, 1929, in Rolette, ND, the son of Arthur Lee and Helen (Johnson) Lewis. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1950, and was stationed at many different Air Force bases. He was medically discharged in 1966. Arthur married Doris ?Jan? Wierima on January 16, 1953 at Francis E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, WY. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed old western movies. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wendell; and sister, Luella. He is survived by his wife, Jan of Fargo; children, Mark (Joleen) of Fargo, and Kelley (Dan) Borgie of Geneva, IL; and grandchildren, Erin (Mike) Metzger of Rochester, MN, Brady Lewis of Fargo, Brianne Borgie of Waverly, IA, and Eric Borgie of Geneva, IL; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to MeritCare Home Health or Hope Lutheran Foundation. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Hope Lutheran Church, North Campus, Fargo. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-7 p.m. in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held in the church on Friday one hour prior to services.
