Augustin "Gus" Trottier

Augustin (Gus) Trottier, age 84, died Monday, March 28, 2005 in Villa Maria, Fargo. Augustin (Gus) Trottier was born on February 18, 1921 at Wild Rice, ND, the son of Eugene and Louiselle (Sauvageau) Trottier. He grew up by St. Benedict and attended school at St. Joseph's Academy in St. Benedict. Augustin Trottier and Jeanne Pronovost were married at St. Benedict Church May 15, 1944. They operated a grain and dairy farm near Horace until retiring in 1982. They moved to Fargo in 1991 spent winters in Arizona and summers in Fargo. Gus was a charter member of the Milk Stabilization Board, charter member and past president of Senior Citizens, Hickson, ND, a member of the Foresters at St. Benedict, the Elks, and the Eagles, charter member and member of the board of directors for Horace Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed playing cards, gardening, fishing, trips to the casino, Breakfast Club at Sunmart in Fargo and Sunland in Arizona, and mixed bowling league. He especially enjoyed time with family and grandchildren.
