Barbara Duval, 73, Fargo, North Dakota, passed away July 27, 2013 at Essentia Health, Fargo, North Dakota, surrounded by family.
Barbara was born in Hendrum, Minnesota on July 11, 1940 to Orvin “Tudy” and Edna (Jegtvig) Ohnstad. She attended school in Hendrum and data processing school in Seattle.
Barbara married Donald Duval on October 18, 1958. They moved to Seattle, Washington and resided there for 15 years before returning to Fargo.
Barbara worked at the VA Hospital as a secretary/bookkeeper for 15 years until her retirement.
She was a devoted wife and mother. Barbara loved raising her 2 sons and granddaughter. She enjoyed family trips, fishing, camping and working in her garden.
Barbara was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and also the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her husband, Don; sons, Wayne and Jay, both of Fargo; granddaughter, Jessika, Phoenix, AZ; and sister, Gerrie (Ed) Masseth, Litchfield Park, AZ.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Curtis Ohnstad, and sister, Carole Richardson.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Barb in Engineering Service for 10 years at the VA. She was a wonderful person and evidently God need someone to help him fish…..
