Beatrice Moll

Beatrice “Bea” Ida (Sweeney) Moll, 103, passed away on Sunday, December 20 in Golden Living Center, Moorhead. Beatrice was born December 2, 1906 in Rolla, ND to James and Anna (Harala) Sweeney. She graduated from Rolla, ND High School in 1925. Bea leaves behind her daughter Joan Christensen (Verne) Minnetonka and Darlene “Darby” Geiszler (Ramon), 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Bea worked in retail sales in Fargo, was ‘house mother’ at State School of Science, Wahpeton & Oak Grove Lutheran School in Fargo. She lived in Parkview Terrace for 27 years in Moorhead. Most recently she was in Golden Living Center in Moorhead. Bea was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fargo and was a choir member there for many years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran in Moorhead for 30 years. When she was a child, her parents had a bakery on Main Street in Rollette, ND. The family lived on the premises. She graduated from high school in 1925 and moved to Fargo to find employment. Bea had always been an optimist, content with her life, cherishing family and friends. She loved and appreciated her caregivers. She was preceded in death by her sisters Viola Russell, Leah Lundahl, and one brother, Myron Sweeney. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, December 29 at 1:00 in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, with visitation 1 hour prior the service in the funeral home.
