Bernadine Parkman

Bernadine O. Parkman, 84 of Fargo, died Sunday, February 24, 2008 in her home. Bernadine was born on July 29, 1923 in Rugby, ND to Ole and Bendikte (Bakke) Egeland. She grew up in Rugby and graduated from Rugby High School. She married Wally Parkman on February 19, 1944. After Wally?s military discharge, they lived in Rugby, Mayville, Bismarck and Palm Desert, CA. Bernadine moved to Fargo in 2000. Bernadine was a passionate reader and enjoyed being around people and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband and brothers and sisters, Hans, Melvin, Dora, and Agnes. Bernadine is survived by her children, Steve Parkman of West Fargo, ND, Carol (Barry) Field of Hot Springs, SD; grandchildren, Erick (Heather) Field of Fruita, CO, Kristi (Darren) Kuhn of St. Francis, MN, David Parkman of Minot, ND and Sara Parkman of Huntington, NY. Memorials are preferred to the Eternal Light Fund at Bethany Lutheran Church in Rugby, ND. Memorial Service: Wednesday, February 27 at 2:00 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Final Resting Place: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND. Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
