Bonnie Rae (French) Critelli 72, of Fargo, ND died Friday, October 2nd, 2015 surrounded by loving family and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Bonnie was born in Cass Lake, MN on February 21, 1943 to William D. & Della L. (Hanson) French. She lived a short time in Minneapolis, then moved to Fargo and attended Roosevelt, Ben Franklin schools, graduating from Fargo Central High School. She married her high school sweetheart Jim, on June 24, 1961 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. She worked 20+ years for Hornbachers Express, retiring in 1991. Bonnie enjoyed living on West McDonald Lake for the last 14 yrs., while developing many close friends. She was a fabulous cook, making up her own recipes! She also enjoyed counted cross stitching, making handmade rugs and many other arts and crafts. Jim & Bonnie loved traveling the world. She enjoyed winning and losing to the one arm bandits. She is survived by her husband Jim, daughter Jeralyn R. (Mark) Bistodeau, son Bill (Jeannie) Critelli, grandchildren Kayla, Bryan, Blake, Jim, Emma, great granddaughter Braelyn, and brother Allan D. (Margaret) French. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Larry and great grandson Haiden. The family requests memorials are given to Hospice of the Red River Valley or The Roger Maris Cancer Center.

  1. Bonnie was a wonderful friend and great lake neighbor. She will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially her lake friends. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jim and the family during this time of sorrow and bereavement. We will always remember the great times spend with Jim, Bonnie and family.

    I babysat you 2 kids ALOT when our parents went out togather – many fond memories !!!
    You always had good vinyl albums, we danced alot, played outside and laughed!
    Bonnie s kitchen always smelled like an Italian restaurant to me!! I loved the spices! !!
    Bonnie was such a classy women, and loved to.laugh!!

My memories of Bonnie were always a happy scene, stemming all the way back when my parents Leo and Delores would join the Critelli clan on those famous card playing nights and fun days on lake Ida.   7. It’s been many, many years since I saw Bonnie. however I remember them living up by what was St. Luke’s. My grandmother, Tollie Harding Smith Samberg always liked to stop and visit with Della. My sympathies to the family.

  10. My memories of Bonnie were also from the holiday get together and the famous card playing nights and fun days on lake Ida or at Middle Cormorant at the Grandbois cabin. Bonnie always found away to make you laugh or smile.To Jim, Bill and Jerry may all of our prayers be with you and all of your families. Bonnie was one great lady.

  13. When I think of Bonnie I think of a great lady with a big smile. Visiting with her and the family at the lake ALWAYS included a lot of laughs. Her great sense of humor will be missed by all of us. (Especially her “ladybug” friend.) My thoughts and prayers are with everyone.
