Carl Dreir

Carl Alan, Jr. Dreier was born on September 7, 1930 in Fargo, ND to Carl and Celestine (Stribley) Dreier. He graduated from Fargo Central High School and started working for Sherwin Williams in Duluth, MN. He worked with them for 27 years. He moved back to Fargo in 1981. Carl married Jane Hoy on January 1, 1992. He retired on January 1, 1993. He enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking and traveling. They spent winters in Arizona and California from 1993-1999. Jane died in 2005. He belonged to the All American Club in Duluth, MN and the American Legion. He is survived by his children: James (Cindy) Dreier, Two Harbors, MN, Pamela (Jack) Ramsey, Naples, FL, Steven (Susan) Dreier, Plymouth, MN; grandchildren: 6 grandchildren and stepchildren: Terry Hoy (Tina) Spokane, WA, Shelly Soulis (David), DuPere, WI, Rick Hoy (Cindy), Fargo, ND, Bonnie Thompson (Mike), Mapleton, ND; 10 stepgrandchildren; siblings: John Dreier (Arelia) Crystal, MN, Carol Benjamen (Don), Glenoma, WA, Debbie Maier, Fargo, ND; niece: Cori Maier; grand niece: Zoe Maier; best friends: Marilyn Laverdure, and her daughter, Monica, Fargo, ND; special lady friend: Gloria Meyer, Fargo, ND; her daughter: Jodie (Blair) Anderson, Moorhead, MN; and Gloria’s granddaughter: Emma Anderson. He is preceded by his parents; brother, Robert Dreier; wife, June; best friend, Joe Laverdure, many aunts and uncles and grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM on Friday, February 12, 2010 at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Holy Cross North Cemetery, Fargo. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
