Carmen Espinoza

April 28, 1948 - December 26, 2020


Carmen Espinoza, 72, passed away on December 26, 2020. She was born in San Antonio, Texas and lived in San Antonio for most of her life. She met Gilberto Garcia in 1980 and together they had three children. They moved to Wahpeton, North Dakota in 2005 and migrated back to Texas every year. Carmen worked as a homemaker for many years before retiring. After Gilberto’s death, Carmen moved to Breckenridge, Minnesota.
Carmen enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time at the lake with her grandchildren. She will be missed by many.
Carmen is preceded in death by her husband Gilberto Garcia, her father Pedro Espinoza, and her mother Ignacia Rodriquez.
Carmen is survived by her son Jose (Martina) Espinoza, daughter Susie (Armando) Hernandez, and son Gilbert Garcia Jr.; grandchildren Maria Carmen-Hernandez, and Armando Hernandez Jr.; her siblings Raul Espinoza, Angelita (Jesus) Rodriguez, and Victoria Espinoza-Martinez; her niece Sylvia Barrera; her nephew Jesse Espinoza; her beloved pets Dubies and Flor Garcia, as well as many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

    My condolences. Very sadden but this.
    always treated me like their daughter. She will be truly miss but I know we will see each other again and I know she’s happy now that she’s with dad.
