Caroline Esther Steinhaus died on Monday, July 24, 2006 in Edgeley, ND. She was born on February 19, 1945 to Lester and Thelma (Alfstad) Steinhaus in Devils Lake, ND. She attended school in Crary, ND and after graduation married John Anderson, Jr. in Valley City, ND in 1966. She worked as a Nurse?s Aide in Jamestown, ND. She was a homemaker for a number of years. She owned restaurants in Litchville, Wyndmere, and Colfax. She owned and operated her own business called Stitchen? and Fixen? in Bismarck and Valley City, ND. She married Robert Therrien in 1997. She worked at Menard?s in Fargo, ND up until the day she became ill. She has been under Hospice care since May of 2006. Caroline was the best cook and loved to play pool. She loved fast cars and football. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary in Valley City, ND. Caroline was a gifted seamstress and the Winter Show in Valley City was a highlight of her year when she would enter and exhibit many of the clothes she had made. She is survived by her mother: Thelma Steinhaus of Conway, SC; her husband, Robert Therrien of Colfax, ND; 4 children: her son, John (Sandy) Dawes of Sioux Falls, SD and their children: Dalton, Parker, Ajay, Annika; her daughter, Lisa Larson-Crandall of Sioux Falls, SD and her children: Daniel, Zachary, Nicole; her son, Shane Wymn of Seattle, WA; her son, Jeffrey Wymn of Minot, ND; her sisters: Phyllis Austin of Edgeley, ND, Doris Hemmerick of Valley City, ND, Karen (Dennis) Triebel of Conway, SC; her brothers: Vern (Monica) Steinhaus of Glendo, WY, Gene Steinhaus of Lusk, WY, and James (Mary Lou) Steinhaus of Casper, WY. Caroline is preceded in death by her father, Lester Steinhaus and brother, Orin Steinhaus. The funeral will be at 11:00 am on Friday, July 28, 2006 at Walcott Lutheran Church.
