Obituary

Carolyn Watkin, 61 of Fargo, died Friday, August 29, 2008 at Bethany Homes in Fargo after a courageous battle with Huntington?s Disease.

Carolyn Jane Eller was born to Clarence and Lydia (Boucher) Eller on November 13, 1946 in Rolla, ND. After graduating from high school there, she attended Minot State College for one year before transferring to the University of North Dakota, where she spent a year. She married Jurgen Knutson in February of 1965. She married David Watkin in 1971. They lived in various cities including Cavalier, ND for a number of years. She resided in Fargo, ND since 1999.

Carolyn was an active member of St. Brigit?s Parish in Cavalier, ND. She was very busy raising her family of five children and participating in all their activities, including the PTA. She was a member of a Homemaker?s Club and enjoyed sewing and cross-stitching. She was also an avid swimmer and bike rider.

She is survived by her children, Tracey Watkin (Dove) of Sauk Rapids, MN, Tanya Light (Paul) of Fargo, ND, John Watkin (Amy) of Fargo, ND, Erin (Gregory Havlena) Watkin of Baltimore, MD, Meghan Brown (Nathan) of Montclair, NJ; her mother, Lydia Eller of Rolla, ND; seven grandchildren; siblings, Gary Eller (Marianne) of Ames, IA, and Karen Milne of Apple Valley, MN and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Eller.

Memorials are preferred to the Hereditary Disease Foundation, 3960 Broadway, New York, NY 10032.

Visitation: Monday, September 1 from 7-9 pm at Boulger Funeral
Home, Fargo and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Prayer Service: Monday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, September 2 at 2:00 pm at Mavis Whiting Chapel,
Bethany Homes, Fargo.

Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.

Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
