  6. Very sorry that the loss of Cathy as both of them were very good to have as neighbors. as just one thin wall was between us. Your father Doug was in school just one year behind me. I lost my wife Yvonne to lymphoma back in November election day. Your family was very quit as we never heard you going up and down the stairs. It was a great place too grow up for me as I moved out 26 years after birth and went on to Illinois to work for Osco Drug. We remember all of you very much. You will miss her until you end as I did my mother and dad. Take care, Chuck Haeffner

  7. Paul and John,
Your Mom and Chuckie were two of the first teachers I met when I arrived at Agassiz in August 1976. I quickly realized that they were two very dedicated and caring people who went to great lengths to help their students. They also were very fun loving individuals. My nick name for them was “Starski and Hutch” from the TV show. I admired Cathy for her professional approach to helping her students. She always made a difference. I enjoyed visiting with her at monthly luncheons of retired educators. She was one of my favorite people. May she rest in peace.

    Sincerely

We hope that the many cards, hugs, kind words, cherished memories, and loving prayers sustains your family during this most difficult time.

  11. My sympathy, Paul and John. I remember you two, as such cute, energetic little boys. We would see you at Uncle Max’s in Gardner. Your grandpa getting on you for something!! The slide show was beautiful and brought back so many memories. I remember your mom visiting my parents, in Mpls. and she and I stayed up late into the night talking about Special Ed. and teaching. We had that in common. As my sister Joanne said, “The Gardner Dynasty is no longer.” I hope you find peace and comfort in her memories. Sincerely, Teri Shirek Kroll.

  12. My name is Debbie (DuBord) Bjorem….I was one of her students at Agassiz in Special Services…your mom planted MANY seeds in my heart that help me blossom and mold me the person I am today!!! My prayers will continue ONWARD and UPWARD to you all!
