Cathryn Graff passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011, at Bethany Retirement Living on University, Fargo, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Cathryn Odell Wold was born on September 16, 1933, in Walcott Township, to Christian and Olga Wold. She later moved to Pitcarin in Abercrombie Township. She attended school in Galchutt School District and graduated high school in Colfax, North Dakota. She attended teacher’s training at Valley City and Mayville, North Dakota. Cathryn taught school in Garborg Township, Wyndmere, North Dakota. On June 17, 1954, she married Oswald and moved to Kindred, North Dakota and engaged in farming. They moved to West Fargo in August 2008 and she entered Bethany Retirement Living on University on June 9, 2011.

Cathryn was dedicated to her family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren. Throughout her life, she was very active in her church where she taught Sunday school and belonged to WELA and Circle. She was a 4-H leader and a charter member of the Town and Country Homemakers for over fifty years. She loved to cook and bake and tend to her flowers. She loved to travel and was always ready to take a trip somewhere. She has numerous photo albums of her many trips. She also enjoyed putting together jig saw puzzles and working on her word puzzle books. She loved to read and play the piano and also watch golf on television. She had a wonderful and kind heart and a great spirit and smile and she will be missed more than we could say. Cathryn is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Oswald; her daughter Pamela (William “Bud”) Corbin of Fargo, North Dakota, and her son, Brian (Loralie) Graff, of Ft. Ransom, North Dakota; her grandchildren: Nicole Graff (Fiancé Ryan Hartl) Davenport, North Dakota and Evan Graff, Davenport; Two step grandchildren: Spencer (Deb) Corbin, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and Heather Corbin, Anoka, Minnesota and two step great-grandchildren: Alexandra and Isabelle Corbin, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
