Clara LaBore Fargo, North Dakota Clara LaBore died peacefully on July 5, 2008 in her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. She was 85 years old. Clara Bella Bill was born December 15, 1922 in International Falls, MN to Bartholomew and Viola (Mielzarek) Bill. She moved to St. Paul, MN in 1932 and graduated from Johnson High School in 1941. She was one of only seven in her graduating class to win the all-city award for competing in girl?s sports activities. After graduation she worked at Montgomery Wards then married Henry LaBore on May 16, 1942 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in St. Paul. When her first child was born she became a stay at home mother. She raised seven children: six girls and one boy and was blessed with 27 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Clara always put her family first. She was an outstanding mother dedicated to giving her children the best care and love possible. She will always be remembered as the ?Cookie Grandma? to her many grand and great grand children. Clara was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fargo for 51 years and took an active part in many functions of the church and school. Her many gifts can be described in the following quote from the Book of Proverbs: Her family and friends rise up and praise her saying, ?Many are the women of proven worth, but you have excelled them all.? A private family prayer service will be held. The funeral will be on July 10, 2008 at 10:30am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Holy Cross North Cemetery in Fargo, ND. Survivors include her husband, Henry LaBore Jr., Fargo; her children, Mary Weiler (William), Fargo, Susan Schnell (Harold), Dickinson, Christine Jacobson (Douglas), Fargo, Rene LaBore (Larry Dittberner), St. Paul, MN, Barbara Joraanstad (Paul), Federal Way, WA, Henry LaBore III (Jayne), Bismarck, Jane Klaers (William), Wabasso, MN. Clara was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, one brother and step-brother, one sister and step-sister, and one grandchild. Clara and her family want all memorials to be sent to: The Presentation Sisters 1101 32nd Avenue South Fargo, ND 58102 Arrangements entrusted to the care of Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo.
